Once an official of Govt. of Odisha said
‘farmers are unskilled labours’. I
replied, “Each farmer of the state, despite being in all sort of problems and
facing govt. apathy, can manage his/her farming and family. Can you tell us why all of your farming demonstration
centres are in disaster?’ I further
asked, ‘you take lakhs in salary and cannot even produce a profit and we don’t
get anything out of farming and still can manage to be in business. Who is skilled and who is unskilled?”….
